Personality} It is difficult to truly pinpoint what parts of Twice’s personality are his own and which are alien. Twice originated as an NPC, and thus, a replica of a once-living human being that went by the same name. Thus, he possessed all the personality traits the original Twice H. Pieceman did at the time of his death, mindlessly droning on while using them as his base. Even when he broke out, he still possessed the basic personality template of the famous researcher, which contained, as a few relatively trivial habits, waxing poetic and being disturbingly casual at times, alternating between educated vocabulary befitting his background and casual small-talk. As was said, it can be assumed that these are all traits the living researcher had and were passed on to his virtual counterpart.
Unfortunately, said researcher chose the last three seconds of his life to throw down all of his life’s work and decide that war and suffering are awesome and everyone should go through them. Thus, this Twice, a perfect representation of that moment, thinks much the same, unable to break out of the mold. Twice has been traumatized by seeing countless people suffer from war, but in their surviving it, proving improvement. Twice himself claims that he wouldn’t have the accomplishments he claimed over his life if it weren’t for war. He is well-aware that he may be seen as evil for his actions, but is willing to take that burden upon himself.
However, just because Twice wants war doesn’t mean he enjoys it. In life, Twice couldn’t even bear to see images of battle without almost passing out, and even the current Twice states that he has no personal desire for war itself. Twice hates war, but desires it simply because it seems the only way potential can be used. It is implied that Twice spent his own Grail matches in the same nausea that plagued him in life, only persevering through sheer determination, which is one thing he does have going for him. His personal aversion to conflict may seem like a natural part of him, but in fact, it is a product of trauma caused by the incident that took his parents, which he is now well-aware of. However, no matter what inner conflict he may have, Twice shows himself to be much more collected in battle than he once was, now able to successfully give orders and, on prior occasions, kill other Masters.
While fairly dramatic and not at all shy to play up the importance of his actions, Twice is a man with a plan. Everything he does is for the sake of his goal. He doesn’t simply see his actions as something he has to do, because of his programming. Given Hakuno’s behavior, he may very well be acting on free will. No, Twice renders a lot of importance on mankind not simply getting by. If they don’t improve, then there’s no reason for their existence.
Twice is, of course, extremely knowledgeable. Not only is he implied to be capable of neurosurgical procedures no one else is capable of (and at the very least, explicitly called a medical doctor), but he is also quite skilled in the field of computers, inventing spiritual hacking (the basis for much of the game) himself. He also possesses a fair deal of knowledge of the world, thanks to the Moon Cell.
Despite that, Twice has lost any semblance of respect for human life. He repeatedly triggers catastrophes with the intention of having them act as triggers for all-out war. Despite once acting cordial towards his Servant, he has recently taken to treating them as disposable entities as well. Twice does little to put up a good impression, affable as he may naturally come off at first.
Abilities} In life, Twice was a doctor, and a very prominent one at that. While he spent a very large amount of his life rescuing people and employing general medical knowledge, his real strength lied in his neurological knowledge, as well as technological. Twice pioneered spiritual hacking, and thus, could very well be the person with the most amount of knowledge regarding the subject. Medicine, magecraft and technology. All of these make Twice a very effective healer, as well as a decent saboteur, if it comes to that.

Notes} Oh. Right. About that. I was hoping I could have Twice manifest as an entirely digital master, jumping from internet-connected appliance to another. His origin would ideally be the pendant given to him, as Twice’s hacking is also magical in nature.
